Earth Wind & Choir – A Vancouver Vocal Collective

Earth Wind & Choir was born out of a shared vision between longtime collaborators Joani Bye and Colin Weinmaster —two deeply respected forces in the Vancouver music scene. It began as a casual conversation in 2024 with Colin and friends Dan Ronn and John Pearson but quickly turned into something much more powerful with Joani in mind: a vibrant, soulful choir made up of handpicked voices from across the musical spectrum.

Since their first rehearsal on October 4, 2024, Earth Wind & Choir has grown to a dynamic group of 25 singers, each one bringing exceptional talent and heart. The group doesn’t limit itself to one genre; instead, they choose any song that resonates and lends itself to rich harmony and emotional impact. From the first song, The Weight by The Band to unique arrangements of soul, rock, and contemporary classics, each piece becomes a collective expression of joy, connection, and musical magic.  It’s a community of singers working together in harmony and friendship.

This group of artists, all with their own prestigious careers includes, (in alphabetical order), Al Lynch, Angela Kelman, Beverley Elliott, Bill Abbott, Bill Costin, Cecile Larochelle, Cherelle Jardine, Colin Weinmaster, Dan Robb, Daryl Burgess, Dave Reimer, Dick Fryatt, Hoot Gibson, Jane Mortifee, Janet Warren, Jennifer Bishop, Joani Bye, John Pearson, Linda Kidder, Lynda Boyd, Marc Gladstone, Marlee Walchuk, Nancy Herb, Peter Juric, Rick Hill, Robbie Buchanan, Saffron Henderson, Shari Ulrich and Terry Raible.

With live performances on the horizon, Earth Wind & Choir is poised to become one of Vancouver’s most exciting new vocal ensembles.
